Marriage Bureau
We hired a car for the first few days and went to the Bureau, we didn't have to wait. The cost has gone up from $55 to $60 not sure if anyone wrote about that before.
Cirque du Soleil- Love
Went to see this the night before the wedding with both sets of parents. I am going to be a bit controversial and say I didn't enjoy it as much as I have the other Cirque shows I have seen, as this was more dance orientated. Though the music and costumes were great and both set of parents loved it!
Jersey Boys
On our last night we went to see Jersey Boys. We tried to go last time we were in New York and hadn't thought about seeing it here as we thought we'd run out of time. We decided on the day of and the concierge at Encore got us great seats. We thoroughly enjoyed it even my DH who was a bit unsure about it. The photo on the left is us on our way to see it, laughing at the cocktail waitress walking straight through our photo!
Bodies & Titanic exhibitions
We went to the Luxor straight after the last of our guests left. DH knew I'd need distracting as my parents had just left and I love looking at exhibitions. Bodies was right up his street, I found it interesting but not as interesting as Titanic, I loved this exhibition, so interesting. They give you boarding passes as you enter and at the end you check to see if they survived. My lady did but DH's man did not.
MGM Grand- cabana
We rented a cabana for the day after the wedding, which was a saturday. I actually have no clue which pool it was next to, it wasn't right next to the loud pool, thank goodness for that! It was o.k, it wasn't as good as other cabanas I have been to and seen. We checked into the Encore a day later and the cabanas there were fantastic. Anyway it was convenient as most people were in MGM/signature/NYNY. We were there the whole day and it was nice to all be together and relax. I manage to book the cabana 30 days out through the concierge so had put it in our wedding brochures.
Downtown/Freemont St.
Most of our guests arrived on the same day and their first night we went downtown in a limo. We had so much fun as most of us hadn't seen each other in a long time. The casinos are fantastic and I'd love to have gone back there and had some pro photos. Kiss were on the big screen at the end of night hence the photo on the left! We caught the deuce bus back which I would not recommend with the road works. We eventually got so bored of sitting in traffic we got off at Bellagio and walked back to MGM.
