Planet Hollywood ceremony - B

I had been planning the wedding for over a year. I was initially working with Sarah who was fantastic and after she left on maternity leave, there were a few others. I eventually had Shannah and she was great and definitely the most prompt of all the coordinators. We had the most basic package "Gone with the wind" and upgraded to candlelight ceremony.
Honestly I'm not sure it was worth the money to have our wedding there. If I had my time again I think I would chose one of the stand alone chapels, as we were in and out really quickly and although this was fine with us (we didn't want a long drawn out ceremony) I didn't feel I got my money's worth. I am glad that my photographer Ashley was allowed in and able to photograph our ceremony. One of the other coordinators saw her when we picked up my flowers and asked if I wanted their photographer there. I told her I would rather Ashley photograph the ceremony if that was possible and she said it was and that she would stop the cashman guy coming to our wedding.
After watching the ceremonies online, I requested Pastor Andy which was no problem and I'm so glad I did, it truly was a lovely ceremony. So although I have no complaints with any of the coordinators or the service, I think as I only had the basic package I probably would have been better off going somewhere else.

Andre's @ Monte Carlo - A

This was the hardest decision for us and it took us almost 9 months to make it. We were dealing with Jana from the beginning and she was fantastic, answering any stupid question/request and promptly too. Finally got to meet her when we were in Vegas and it was like meeting an old friend. The food in Andres is amazing and if you appreciate fine dining this is the place for you. We chose one of their group menus which is on their website and also added canapes to be served during the cocktail hour.
The private dining room area was great for our small party and had been recently renovated so looks amazing. It's upstairs so away from the main dining room and also opposite from the cigar room so it was an easy transition from cocktail hour to dinner to cigar and cognac time.
The staff were all attentive and we were treated like royalty. The only glitch we had was the restrooms in the restaurant became unusable so we had to trek to the restrooms in the casino, which I was not happy about as they were quite a walk away and they were very busy. I complained a few times and they gave us a discount at the end of the night.

Ashley Bartoletti -Photographer

Ashley was great. She called me to tell me she was running late as she was stuck in the awful traffic. She was so sweet and apologetic when she arrived. I was not concerned in the slightest and didn't even know the time. As soon as she arrived she got straight to work and pretty soon I just forgot she was there. She's extremely easy to talk to and she made suggestions and gave direction to us while taking our photo. I really can't wait to see my teasers on her blog and then get the CD. I will give her a grade when I see the photos but for her professionalism she is on A+.

Glamsquad - Mark and James - A+

These guys were great! Mark was right on time, in fact I think he might have been slightly early. He set to work on my MOH hair immediately and was so quick, we basically gave him carte blanche to do whatever he wanted and he didn't disappoint. After he finished her hair he moved onto mine. He did make my bump really big and I gasped when I saw it, he wasn't offended and fixed it quickly. He then moved onto doing my mum's make up and also my MOH's make up. Both were fabulous and they were extremely happy. In the meantime James turned up with his airbrush kit, the timing was perfect and it all flowed so nicely. He set off to work moving furniture around to get us into the light as the lighting in my hotel room was quite bad. Mark and James were a great double act and had us laughing so much. It was the perfect start to the day and I felt relaxed and in safe hands. I was extremely anxious about the airbrush and kept doubting my decision as I have very dry skin. I needn't have worried as it looked amazing and evened out my skin tone, I'm keen to see how it photographed on the pro photos. I showed James my dress and told him I wanted smokey eyes but left it all up to him. When he finished he gave me a chance to look at his work and wanted to know if I was happy with it all, which I most definitely was. Oh I also had the eyelashes which I LOVED!! and DH loved them too. Would thoroughly recommend these 2 guys.

Earth Buses - B-

Couple of great points about Earth buses: Their bus is amazing and very unique. They were on time. The reservation people on the phone are helpful and we changed times and added a pick up and they were very accommodating.
Bad points: The driver moaned that it was going to be too busy to go to the Vegas Sign before we got in. He told us if we did go we would go over the hour. I questioned him as we had driven in rush hour and it hadn't taken that long. He retorted that he was a driver and it was his job to know these things. Ok I replied and told him we would pay him if it indeed did go over the allocated hour. This left a bit of a sour taste in our mouths before we even got into the limo and when we did he had not put the champagne in the buckets- he'd left it in carrier bags on the seat, which I thought was a bit poor, though I can get over this, maybe I was expecting too much. We had to ask him a few times to put the i pod on as we could not hear it. After this he was great, helping people in and out of the limo even catching me as I fell out when we got to Monte Carlo! We didn't go over our hour, it was actually dead on our schedule, so we didn't have to pay any extra. It was $180 for the hour including gratuity and was a fantastic way to kick off the party! When we stopped at traffic lights, we had people rushing over to take photos outside it which was fun!

Travis Allen - Elvis - A

Travis is a star. However I didn't know if he would show up! When we got to Vegas I realised I hadn't heard anything off Travis. His Dad had told me he would contact me nearer the wedding. So I e mailed his Dad who then sent me his phone number. His phone number wouldn't work for me and I kept getting a fax tone. I e mailed his Dad again and told him this and left the details of the reception and I didn't hear anything back. I should have ensured that I had contacted him before I left home.  However Travis was there on time and stole the show, he really is amazing and made the night for a lot of our guests.

MGM Signature - A

We stayed in MGM signature for 8 nights. We booked through vacation rentals and rented it through a private owner for $100 a night. The suite was great, the kitchen was a life saver and the room space was fantastic for putting together the OOT bags and favors. We also had people over to see us and it was a great space to entertain. We had a balcony that overlooked the signature Tower 3 pool.
As we went through a private owner, I knew we took the risk of the room being dirty or something being wrong and not being able to do anything about it. The room was little tired and dusty but there were cleaning tools etc The bathroom was big! especially the tub. We didn't find the walk terrible from Tower 3, most of our guests were in MGM Grand and we found it quite a pleasant stroll there. We walked out the front of Tower 3 and onto Harmon to get to Planet Hollywood and onto the strip. The staff there were great, they printed our tickets out for Love. We used the bell hops constantly to help us carry things up and out (alcohol mostly!) and they also helped us by chilling all the alcohol for the party bus and being in charge of giving it to the party bus driver. They all wished us well with wedding plans and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there.

Encore - A+

We stayed in the Tower resort Panoramic suite. My goodness, I am in love with the bed here and would like to move in permanently. As we had to fend for ourselves cleaning wise in MGM signature, it felt luxurious and special to have turn down service in the night and slippers and chocolate left for us. The casino here is gorgeous and was very good to us!! Plenty of cocktail waitresses there, even when on slot machines. We used the concierge here to get us tickets for Jersey Boys and we were treated so well here with our red card giving us preferential treatment. I want to move in permanently!!

Planet Hollywood - Boulevard Suite - A

Great for an after party. We went to the front desk the day before the wedding to ask if we could have early check in, they made a note of our request and said they could only tell us on the day. DH was in charge of this and he got early check in, so he used the suite to get ready and he set up for the after party getting glasses and ice from room service. We also used it as our 'first look' place, we left from there and went around Planet Hollywood doing photos before the ceremony.
